From November 29 to December 1, 2017, the UFZ hosted the “Workshop on Functional Connectivity” in Leipzig, Germany.
This was a writing workshop aimed at discussing how to advance the concept of functional connectivity with the contribution of a selected group of 20 experts from Europe and North America.
This workshop revolved around three main questions:
• What is Functional Connectivity?
• What is the relevance of the concept to Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services?
• What is the relevance of the concept to humans/policy-making?
The paper developed during this workshop is currently in preparation for submission.
